when i had my second child
believe me i was scared
17 years apart
is a really big age gape
cockily i thought
i already knew everything
after all i'd done it before
this time would be a breezes
how wrong could i be
more wrong then words explain
this time its damn hard
sometimes i really wonder
i guess after 16 months
i've learnt at lest one thing
no matter what you think you know
it don't mean a thing
every time it will be different
you'll start all over again
and learn as you go
make mistakes time and time again
all you can hold to
no matter what people say
is believe in your instinct's
and take it day from day

Great write, makes me think about how much I really don't know about being a mom and how much I will have to learn as we go. Thank you for your entry.

Oh so true my kids are very close together and still everyday is a learning experience. All the different personalities and each child is unique. Best of luck in the contest. Best wishes and much love, -Nessa
