Awaking again
lost in fear, gripped with pain,
he drags
his withered body to the stream
but it wasn't a dream
too distraught
for
fragments of thought
he clings to
that thing
the ring
The stream reflects
the wreck;
the sad, solemn
hideous Gollum...
"I sits here
on the hard dirt floor;
I's not one of them
hobbitsiz
no more."

Although short, this does make me feel for the poor wretch. Its hard to imagine his suffering.
Thank you for your entry. -
It is a sad situation. Poor Smeagol turned Gollum.
Good luck in the contest.
