past was the shadow
covering her moon,
a darkness of days
all the gloom of years
and resurrection of fear
feelings of comfortable,
alone with her spaces,
not looking for shapes,
faces or twists
while along the seldom path,
he had thoughts of an angel
sending his loneliness away
what he'd missed
by settling for less
love she'd yearned for
after years bumping heads
the random collided;
a comets tail,
first time they met
an old familiarity
she didn't have feathers
yet he felt her wings
lift him up
wild as the wind,
wild as the wind is love
conjuncture of spirit,
the words that were said,
feelings repressed over time
he learned to sip
in a lesson from breezes
she had the recipe
for the sweetest of wine
wild as the wind,
wild as the wind is love
paths merge together
the longer they walked,
love became fire
the longer they talked
hands clasped for memories
they were able to breathe
wild as the wind
wild as the wind is love
Author notes
Credit: Wild As the Wind - Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood
Johnny grew up
On the dark side of the law
Livin' in the shadow
Of the light he never saw
Rosie came 'round
In the way that true love does
Just when you're lookin' elsewhere
For the thing that never was
Wild as the wind
Wild as the wind is
Wild as the wind is love
Wild as the wind
Wild as the wind is
Wild as the wind is love
So they team up
And they traveled on thier way
Lookin' for forever
For every yesterday
She brings him hope
In the way that Angels do
Takin' him to heaven
In ways he never knew
Wild as the wind
Wild as the wind is
Wild as the wind is love
Wild as the wind
Wild as the wind is
Wild as the wind is love
Wild as the wind
Every so often
He gets a stray look in his eye
She knows how to hold him
Without ever askin' why
Wild as the wind
Wild as the wind is
Wild as the wind is love

I love the flow of your words, so wonderfully penned.
Along with the AN you added brings the sadness and happiness to life again.
Thank you for your entry and best wishes to you

Thank you, I too love the song but wanted it to relate more to me and not the fictitious characters, but I didn't want to loose the essence of the song either. Love, C

Thank you Tom, it is always hard taking someone else's lyrics and having a go with them, wanted it to be lyrical and more personal but I couldn't get rid of that chorus line lol it was just too good a visual. Love, C
