Morning Bliss

my carpet of teal green
freshly trimmed, soft
fragrance of wild roses
reflecting love
chirping songs, tiny sparrows
welcoming sunrise again
in the distance
I smell fresh coffee
so my mind wonders
back inside where I belong
yet my thoughts
paint vividly the picture
of squirrels scampering
around nature's lady
standing with her arms lifted
as if she could say
thank God for the blessing
of another awesome morn
