A tear rolls down her face,
Dismissed by all.
Putting all of her hopes
Into the day of her downfall.
She cries curled in her bed
Like she has so many times.
She turns to her razor,
Her end-of-life line.
She puts it to her wrist,
Thinking of self harm.
But then she remembers
The little boy who hugged that arm.
"I love you Krissy!
I'll miss you!"
"Aw, I'll come see you Joey"
If he saw her, what would he do...
She puts the razor away,
Not wanting to cut anymore.
In that moment she realizes,
This is what she lives for.
The family that she has,
And the family she wants to create.
The loved one she is now,
And the good mother she will make.
For the friends who're by her side,
Despite what she believes.
She lives for that little boy
Who somehow became her reprieve.
She's still sad,
But that will fade.
And sure she'll be tempted
By that same blade.
But she has something to live for
And someone she wants to be.
She smiles in thought of that little boy.
He somehow set her free.
