Well, a few years ago it started.
You first stole my breath,
Then my nerves fell away.
Then went my heart beat.
I was falling for you.
After a while,
I decided to give you something,
Something only you could have.
First you had to find something.
You had to love me like crazy,
And let me know it, too.
But we weren't ready for that.
Then, all of a sudden,
You found it.
You found the key to my heart,
And opened it.
The lock is still there,
But the key belongs to you.
So, in reality,
My heart does, too.
When I think about my love for you,
I think that you still love me.
Why do I think this?
How could I still love you?
The answer is that you still have the key.
The lock is locked,
But you are free to unlock it when you want.
It is there just for you.
This lock is in a certain shape.
It's made from six certain letters.
D-A-N-I-E-L...
It's your lock and your key.
Author notes
this is the title option 'Lock & Key'. I chose to use the cliche of unlocking my heart. This is really how I feel about daniel, and hopefully he still loves me too.

Awww this is definitely a very romantic poem
I really liked it. It was penned so beautifully and ah. Wow. I loved this:
-The lock is still there,
But the key belongs to you.
So, in reality,
My heart does, too.
...
Perfection. Those lines held such a powerful love, yet there's also pain throughout the lines of this piece...not being able to be together & what not.
Thanks for entering & good luckkk♥

aww well the romance is pure and the longing also... you've made perhaps some simple rhymes perhaps unnoticed...
nicely penned out...
