Running through life as a young God,
Never thinking like the others.
Always single minded and different.
Thinking of love, joy, and being mortal.
Breaking the rules for his differences.
Meeting a beautiful, young maiden,
She being mortal, love was forbidden.
They secretly met, to be together.
Him being God, her being mortal,
They were punished for their sins.
She to live in the earth forever,
He to live in the moon evermore.
Always able to see each other,
But never able to touch one another.
Now his face lies in the moon,
And her beauty covers the earth.
They watch each other,
All night and day.
For all eternity.

Well I read it and it makes me think of like Greek or Roman Mythology. Which in my thoughts is a part of some sort of history. It makes me think of mythology because of how back then the people made little stories about the gods and how things were created. So I think it fits do you? hehe ^^""""""""""""

a good mix of the two history and love, and i'll just allow it, your knowlege is shown, the title fits nicley with the pome and i would say this poem is more about love than history but then like u said it goes to mythlogy and the god and mortal bit, well done and thank you for your entry
