No Love for a Dragon

Scion soared the skies looking for his mate,
Down below,  a human girl was singing,
Scion loved it, could appreciate
the sorrow he heard throughout the sorrowful song.

But sadly, when Scion approached
the girl ran away in fear,
From a beast that was not human,
The dragon's heart did she sear.

Scion found himself a cave and died,
And the girl came back, she cried.

    This was a wonderful story.. yet the ending was so heartbreaking.. you did a wonderful job with the prompt.. thank you very much for sharing.. I wish you the best of luck..
