Last Antediluvian Dream

Ruptured magic, flickers ‘cross the air
Kismet rides in the dim-lit haze
Dark wings and ancient lullabies roar
Scorching altar of thy farewell blaze
Must thy compulsive fantasy loom
Undone, for the catching groans
In velvet dreams shall hunger rise
Searing calls to my blood alone

Conceived in magic, wrought in fire
Steam hissing through my breath
Oh my weakness, creature who art thou
Perfumed croon of pending death?
Such soul thirst, may it not be quenched
Primal craving, attend my plea
For so long, rage, un-sated throve
Ageless years through eternity

So what passion plays within thy blood?
Scarlet rose divines thy lips
Great deepened pools of jaded glass
Cunning gleams must steal a kiss
What fates foretold, thy future fixed
Couldst thou cease and be just mine
Immortal charm of ancient rune
Shaped in heaven’s lore-born time
