Billowy cloud journey on high,
casting shadows as you pass by.
Where have you been, what was seen,
drifting above meadows of green.
Soft as a pillow white as a dove,
adorn the heavenly sky above.
What tales to tell of all you see,
floating around our galaxy.
Skimming the trees on moutaintops,
shading the farmer's heartland crops.
Above the orb over land and sea,
always sharing your shade for free.
Wide eyed wonder, the children play,
hoping you keep the gray clouds away.
Sharing the sky with wind and sun,
hear laughter as they play and run.
There you are so proud in the sky,
pass over me then wave goodbye.
Journey on friend, billowy and soft,
to far away places on currents aloft.

The picture and poem roll so smoothly over the tongue. Lovely rhyme to show clouds fluffy as angel hair, floating over the land as children laugh and play. They pass over to say good-bye. I like the almost melody tone imagination leaves for the mind.

This is very pretty and was very enjoyable to read. Thank you for sharing ^_^ There was a very distinct pattern with both the meter and the rhyme scheme the gave the poem an easy -if the tiniest bit gimicky, and the teensiest bit ... chilidish? I think that's the word I'm looking for - flow, which made the poem light like your subject. It was nice too read a positive topic for once, as most of the poems n this site are either about heartbrreak, or some other dark topic. So, thank you for that. Best of luck in your contest ^_^
