You say I'm simple,
But I know what is too much.
You may look at me forever,
But seldom will ever touch.
I'm very complex,
I hold on to what I know.
Just to tease and confuse,
the person that prods me so.
Just don't look upon outer beauty,
lurking inside is so much more.
So much complexity and wisdom,
All you need to do is explore.
Come on pay me a visit,
show that your human too.
Don't judge by my outward appearance,
Just what can't you construe?
There is a heart inside,
it beats warm and true.
Living for life's precious moments,
that someday will embue.
We stick by what we know,
We may look past all of what is seen.
But look closer if you will,
underneath and inbetween.
Will you find silver or even gold?
or something of far more worth...
You may there find your fellow man,
WHAT A CONCEPT...REBIRTH!
