A fairy tale was told once and more
The beast turned into a gallant man
The tale forgot that love doesn't distinct
Between a caring monster and a man as well
But the girl held her arms close to her brute
Knowing there's no better protection from harm
Her innocent heart was far from being touched
By the nails and knives from his hell home
Softened by the whispers of gentleness and care
Lies are not needed when love tells more than them.

Nice title and write. A good take on the picture prompt. Good flow and tone. Nice imagery. Lovely depth of feeling. Good word choice, alliteration and nice assonance. My only suggestion is that you add a bit of punctuation for natural pauses in your poem. Thank you for your entry.
