Early Morning Hours

Four a.m.
finds me restless,
out of desperation,
for a visit from the sandman,
who seems to have forgotten to appear.

Laying there,
ever so faintly,
I hear the air moving,
my beautiful, baby boy's breathe
softly sings me a sleepy lullaby, then begins
rock-a-bying me over to the dreamland I yearn to see.

Five fifteen,
the alarm screams
at me, time to get up.
Open one weary eye, and I sigh,
beacause my angel greets me with a smile,
and uses the sparkling sunrise as his backdrop...

Aww, this is a wonderful piece
For me this actually held some pretty clear imagery, especially with your wonderful little baby boy rocking you to sleep

    Best of luck out there,
    Evinde

strange, but good - this seems kinda different to your usual writes in my opinion BUT i still like it. I sort have imagery in my head - it's quite good .the alarm screams is a good line - it really is a piercing sound when your sleeping and your tired. I really liked this its sort how you feel in bed , in the morning when you wake up randomly. I like this! Once again well done - you've outdone yourself! great write
