Oh the glory of confusion,
In your lack of wisdom
I find myself at odds with love.
Though I do rather enjoy
The enlightened, joyous occassions
In which I do find myself smiling,
Lost between the adrenaline of
Young lovers heart beats.
The distance of love
Of foreign lovers,
In between a sea of risks
And storms of shattered dreams,
Oh disillusioned young lovers.
And yet a need of greater space still.
Do not doubt my love
Since I do not myself.
But keep the peace
And respect the space,
For the glory of confusion,
Will have us at our necks.
A sea apart,
Countries in between,
None-the-less…
Let’s continue with our dream.
Author notes
Space, sometimes an ocean isn't enough. The neediness can be disasterous. For those in long distance relationships, I believe you know what you get yourselves into. Just some quick frustration...

I've never been in a long distance relationship, so I do not personally know the feelings and thoughts involved in the experience, but after reading your poem I feel I've come closer to understanding them. The second stanza is my favorite. This poem indicates a very mature, self assured voice. I applaud you for a poem well written.
