Arjuna's Ear

No need to build a palace,

none even can compare

to one from simple footstep's reach

on a straight path everywhere.

A fool to try and gather,

now dead in many desires,

alive by love for only one

who set fire to all the fires.

All is a single endeavour

Arjuna's lent his ear,

love of Lord has cut the feet

off secondariness and fear.

So lent an eye an ear and tongue

polished in Lord's light,

put to nurturing babies,

even kill if sent to fight.

not the limit of a fragile mind

with all concern of it and you

but freed in real action

devoted in the True.

Great rhyming here considering I never even noticed it was rhyme until the third stanza. Very natural and smooth.

I've read this several times and for some reason just can't formulate a worthwhile comment.
I love it! I do...just that I think it just needs to be read and sat with for a while instead of me trying to say something about it.

SO...I'll comment on your background instead.
Mmm, lovely background...I really like it...I'd like something like that myself. X

Your piece is just shining and brightCool

First of all..I love the title..very creative! Great connection between the quote teller ' Bhagwad Gita' and Arjuna..

Your poem is fascinating Karim..It points out so much truth..

I find always simple peace and enjoyment from reading your words..they breath gentle fragrance  ..

Great simple expression of love to the Lord ..

Ps: Your background fits perfectly for 'Lotus leaf'..I love the hand made work done in this lovely piece..I have one like that but in different colors..I have a deep love for work like that.

    Excellent work  Karim

      Thanks Ruby

Yes I have several of these in different colours, maybe I will use another one again because I like the effect as well.
