The Hip Cat Within

Did you know that we are never alone,
we all have a twin within so strong.
When we mope around and cry,
that hip Cat is a twisting and turning inside.

Yo mama what you be doing out there?
Wy there's all sorts of things to do,
and much more fun to share.
Come on now mama get off the bed,
and do something that's fun instead.

Oh the body refuses and folds up in a ball,
It thinks of only sad things after all.
What do you expect when you go acting this way,
so come on mama I'm tired of this lets go play .

The person within listens and watches for a bit,
and the outside person starts throwing a fit.
It doesn't want people to show love or even talk to her,
so I guess from inside I'm going to twist and jerk.

Come on now mama lets get rad and hit some tunes,
Ive been lying with you since noon.
Whats the matter wy you  can tell me?
For Im the one inside of you dont you see!

She so felt this uneasiness and movement inside ,
she sat up in bed was wondering why.
All of a sudden her hips began to move,
and she realized they were dancing to her tunes.

Oh she couldnt stop it and then she stood up fast,
she tried to stop it but it was truly rad.
Her legs began to wiggle and her arms flailed about,
and she yelled stop it I said stop it now.

Everything went silent even the radio,
she was so proud she made that ellusuon go.
Then it began in her hands her fingers went wild,
the through her body into her toes now.

It kinda tickled and she began to laugh,
nothing like this has ever happened in the past.
She flung open the door and went dancing down the hall,
and everyone in the house dropped their bottom jaw.

She then heard a whisper come on mama now its your turn,
and her body went limp like the court house was ajurned.
A moment or two passed then she raised her hands,
and her legs got to moving and she danced .

Hey now mama you got the groove,
you be moving good now you got some radicle moves.
Say there now mama how about a high five,
and she raised her hands and clapped them high.

Who said you needed others with you all the time,
well this here mama shes mighty fine.
Just needed to see together we be cool,
and we not going to lay around and be nobodies fool.

From that day on she didnt cry anymore,
she knew there was someone who loved her so much more.
That very day she found the child that dwelled within,
wanted to live and be free again.
