Let me see again

Darkness surrounds my soul, Lord

My heart is weary, heavy

My eyes open wide, and yet the light is dim

I am lost, I am damned in circles tread

Don`t know where I am going

Did you forget me dear Lord, or have I lost the way

I`ve seen the light when I was born, again in Holy water

Such joy I felt and then I took, the road to foreign lands

Mingled with lifes illusions, I turned my face away

Thinking you could not see

And time went on

I grew old Oh, Lord

Beaten by wrongs, and evil deeds

Enslaved to greed, and lifes wits

A blind beggar I have come,

At your door step, to pray

Here in the cold, I stand alone

No one, can help

All pass and vanish, in the haze

Oh, Lord your light do shine on me

Please, let me see again.

    Thank you for entering your artistry and your heart into my contest, you've touched mine deeply. The paths we take before we finally cry out to the Lord can be so abusive to ourselves and we think we know what we're doing at the time. Only the Holy Father knows what's best for us. He just waits for us to contact Him. Thank you again!

    The sweet loving cry to God,the plea that connects the reader...begging for that sweet salvation of peaceful loving freedom from the wrongs done that should have been rights. I love the honest flow of soul in this piece. Your words well in the depth of blessed even in the darkness...
