Anguish arches like a broken bird
attempting to glide, one-winged,
to a safe landing
a gentle strip of time
when I needed you
wanted you
prayed for you
like sky whispers
through flight feathers
with a wish for paired flight
Oh, hold me high
so I might draw deep blue breath
send me sailing
like a child’s folded paper
no map to follow
nor set path or pattern
but that indrawn breath of heaven
I am as hurt as dropped egg
in feathered nest
without you
hovering over my yellow yawn
of need

Well..I believe in strength
to feather weaker limbs,
tied and old,
and feeling unimportant,
when winter meadow drips with May,
as Native friendship,
rocking window.

Ponderful
Powerful and sweet.
Another great job from the master.
Poems seem to flow out of you without restrain.
