No sleep to the one who plays with the night
A gentle partner she glides me through intoxication
over the ocean
to a place I've never been,
she takes my hand and let's me in .
A world unknown to heavy heads
adrift in waves of dreaminess.
The deep black darkness of the sky
the elegant moon awake on high
and tons of stars that forever lie
in infinite space of night.
No sleep to the one who wrestles with hours
that seem so long and sacred
No fear of light to break into day
though certain a noble replacement.
Only the midnight ghosts play hide and seek in anticipation
for morning to creep
so we can all sleep
and wake to tomorrows night jubilation.
