In Safety's Net

Inside the bubble of contentment
dwells my spirit's eagle wings.
Poised to soar past foundations
way up into life's river springs.

Rough edges to surrender; now muted.
All desires flung eastward-God's hand.
Relaxation's healthy surface to explore,
as I travel into seasons of God's land.

Emptied of my own impression's imprint.
Sought-out regards of careless flow,
wraps me tight in welcome's greeting;
Into lands I hitherto did not know.

At a distance to only view impediments,
nothing then mars my forward thrusts;
as I climb intention's mountain; up, up, up.
Leaning wholly on the saviour; Him to trust.

Ever cognizant of His apt abilities to keep.
I just linger in His presence a la mode.
Knowing that no shadows can approach me, ever-
for in Him, and Him alone, have I made my abode.

Author notes

One who performs his duty without attachment, surrendering the results unto the Supreme Lord, is unaffected by sinful action, as the Lotus leaf is untouched by the water...Bhagwad Gita.

    So if you are unencumbered, you can climb higher. That's what I get out of this piece.
