it sings us to sleep
in swallows
or earth
beyond the ugly duckling bravery
all dressed in grace
to escape detection
musical swells of well
drowned out by drums
of war and scars
that touch a soul
if only it will listen
the politicians sing their peace
in pieces of our hearts
ripped from our pockets
meant to seal our poverty
and sell us on our
intelligence and
love of sorrow
all creation knows
no peace was ever brought about by war
until it piles the bodies high enough
in lamentations of stupidity.

Interesting political statement....and you saw this in that picture? I do agree with your sentiments of "war is stupid" but unfortunately at times it is a evil necessity. Thank you for your entry
