Walk through the halls
All the empty faces
It's all the same
Won't hear the words they say
Classrooms become cells
Ever torturing and confining
Taking all that is me
All that I will ever be
I won't program myself
To be like you
Won't hide my feelings
Just to fit in
I may be a threat
To the precision of 'them'
Only a minor threat
Though they might like to pretend
If I have to be shallow
To be happy like them
I'll take my sadness
And stay just like me
When the cell door closes
Locked with shadows of people
They may not be real
But I'll still never be them

I really like this song. You had a very unique take on it. I usually see this as rebellious, going out of their way not to fit in by being loud and obnoxious, but you had a same type of feel here, except that instead of being loud and obnoxious, you chose to be quiet and be yourself instead of joining the mold of others. I also like the title, as i think it is one of the lines of the song. Thanks for your entry!
