Talking To Cats - I'll Never Get The Answers

If I could talk to the animals
I'd talk to my cats,
to ask them quite simply
why they are often such brats!

One minute it's cuddles
and purrs all around,
then next it's the claws
won't you please put me down?

And then when I call them
their ears twitch quite nice
and then the tail swishes
they'll only come at a price.

I'd ask them why they always
take my most comfortablew spots
and growl if I move them
oh they do that a lot!

The why do they look at me
with such disdain,
it is really because
they're the boss of this domain?

And finally I'd ask
why the often frosty pose,
but maybe they'd tell me
it's their superiority it shows!

Sometimes cats can be very moody and changeable just like people but I think they sense our love and can be counted on to cheer us when we feel down. They may not be able to answer us always, but it's nice to know they're there. Thanks for entering and good luck.
  • lol mum this is funny

  • LMAO you got the cat to a tee nicely done. Looks at my bunch of mogs yep absolutely bang on. Not one would lower themselves to talk to a human.

  • Great poem and yes, they know who is always in charge--they are!

    Great!

Wow. Awesome poem. Lots of my friends have cats at their homes so I know what you mean by this. It's funny watchuing them trying to get into their favorite spot while the cat is there giving up and moving somewhere else only to find that the cat got there first.
I'd ask them why they always
    Take my most comfortable spots...
