Life is hard as each year passes
Not from times of lads and lasses
But here and now as I am grown
All I want is to cry and moan
Am I in the state of mind
Where sound of mind is what I find
Or am I jaded and full of pain
Ready to lose, feeling nothing to gain
Am I making good decisions
Or am I making further incisions
Trying to pour our hurts of pasts
Finding that things seem to never last
I'm tired, I'm hurting, I can't go on
Why should I bother, I'm not the con
Liars prevail, assaulters too
This battle is winning, not for me but you
~~~
But others see the value of you
And they see these shades and hues
They see your pain, they know your past
They want you healed, to see you blest
We know that pain can muddy waters
And fill your mind with tears and tatters
Let us carry you, help you through
We don't want to give up on you
We care, we love you, we want you with us
We can see light ahead if you survive this
It's hard to deal with life's past issues
You're just now using some few tissues
Allow yourself to grieve, my friend
For grief is tearing you within
You are worth it, please don't give in
We know that death is not the win
~~~
I've walked this path before myself
I wanted to just sit on the shelf
Without feeling, with no regrets
Barely breathing, barely left
But someone cared enough to touch me
Pull me to them, listen, hug me
I pulled away, I turned my back
Yet they still walked and gave me slack
I wouldn't be here today if not
And I'm thankful they cared alot
For life is hard, no matter what
But breathing, living, I survive it
Today I live, with family and friends
I'm glad my life indeed didn't end
So I walk with you now and later
I know your life will indeed get better

Life is tough every where.
'Is it fair...'
I see people be unfair at time I too may be unfair not knowing what should be fair. Your work give you satisfaction if in your consciousness you are right and fair.
Not being right and see happiness is the greatest sin and you will have to suffer the consequences in this life.
It is just a matter of time.
When an honest person retires He suffers little.
The dishonest suffers for the wrong perks he was use to getting free and finds the meaning of hell.
Old age is the time when the honest really learn the truth about their incomparable quality.
This poem is well written in form and the message of anguish may be there but there is also the happiness of love one receives for good service.
Family life for the honest is the sweetness of life.
A bit long.
lol
Congrats Poetry conveys thoughts from the inside which is what I love.
