flashing brake lights -
encroaching obstruction
as partial vision peers
around obscured view
distorted glare filters rays
through diesel fuel fumes,
and searches through grime
rumbling on dismal asphalt
for signs along the way
what of this lumbering weight,
the burden of your load
and changing into your own lane -
what meaning can you find
in another’s numbers
of designated times
making connections in digits and letters,
deciphered for cryptic meanings,
patterns behind their screen
what solace is there
in a toker’s code
of burn time anticipation
when we have each other
I chose self - yours and mine
and do not chose is neglect,
your overwhelming vibrancy
staring at me as
obsession's reason to live

Well, this is so cleverly written, considering what I thought to be a slightly challenging pic.
Plus, LOVE your title--it reminds me of the movie Bruce Almighty (no idea if you've seen it or not, but it's good).
"encroaching obstruction"
This could mean a lot...I like it a lot.
"rumbling on dismal asphalt
for signs along the way"
Excellent!!
"in another's numbers
of designated times"
Loved this...spoke a lot.
"making connections in digits and letters,
deciphered for cryptic meanings
patterns behind their screens"
Lots of mystery expressed in a line expressing mystery...<--that might not have made sense..I liked these lines, so to speak!!
"in a toker's code"
Interesting...
"obsession's reason to live"
Love this!!
Thanks for entering (: -
