Alone
what a corny word now
from what I see of it.
A word losing it's meaning
when someone actually speaks it.
Everyone assumes they're lacking
the sincerity
asking for attention
and that's the extent of it.
No one seems to notice
alone means many things.
Attention lacked,
from those who care the most.
Physical relations gone
from those who can give them.
Emotional baggage filled
with no one to help release them.
Always by yourself
this world tests you,
and if you try to get help
just one hand on your ladder.
Then your individuality and independence
are gone.
