A gentle warm wind or a soft cool breeze
Soft music playing makes it heaven on earth
But not really heaven for what its' worth!
Just give me a corner, a space of my own
Where I can be myself and be all alone
Voices gone, and no longer that ring
Of doorbells, telephones and life's annoying things
Quietness brings restoration to our lives
God ordered it, it makes me thrive!
Author notes
The ultimate heaven on earth would be a beautiful place out in nature alone..but few of us have that experience very often..Often a place we all want is a place where we get away from the noise..As I have heard...Silence is Golden.. I wonder why?..(Photo credits Photobucket)

Bandits United!
This is a lovely poem about the natural world that makes you want to go out and embrace its sights and sounds. I liked the sense of solitude, of being one with nature and its rejuvinating effect on our spirits. Congratulations on the trophy.

Impressive! Your imagery is fantastic...I've read it now a few times, and going to read again...I love your picture of inspiration, it is reflected in your words and has peace and beauty throughout and letting the mind linger on certain thoughts

BANDITS UNITED!!
Rosemary,
Your words and this lovely tranquil picture are so mutually complimentary. I dare say it will be hard now to think of one and not the other! Excellent poetic expression which most readers should be able to relate to. I also appreciate your disclaimer: Soft music playing makes it heaven on earth
But not really heaven for what its' worth! As ideal as this place seems it will not compare to what is waiting in the hereafter.Thank you for sharing this delightful and compelling poem.
Write On!
You have been Spotlighted by your Poetic Bandit
today because WE CARE!
God Bless!

Bandits United
I agree with every word in the wonderful quickie poem. I love my family, my job and my friends, but I would love an hour a week all by myself to sit on the beach and watch the waves. I don't want to think about anything but the majesty of nature and the beauty that surrounds. I enjoyed this poem very much. Peace, Liz

First, i love that picture. It in itself is so relaxing for the soul. Your poem did indeed speak of the beauty of this place and the comforting feeling you get from being there, in the silence, in the arms of nature...relating to whomever you care to speak to at that moment. Well done.

Re: My Sanctuary, My Heaven on Earth!
Beautiful poem and picture! Rosemary, this a very fine work, a super 10 x 10, if I know what that is (10 lines - each line of 10 syllables?) -- great imagery and sentiment. I really like this one and love your poetry style / craft. This one makes me fell aware of the need for peace and quiet that I often seek, too! Very good work, friend!

-
A beautiful picture painted with your words.
I must tell you, though, it made my eyes hurt to read the pink font - it's really quite hard on the eyes!
Other than that, however, I love it! To have a space of your own where you can be all alone is truly a treasure. True that quietness brings restoration! We humans are such creators of noise!! The image of such a place as you describe makes me long for one of my own.
One type-o I saw in line 4: "its'" should be "it's" (it is). -
oh auntie this is beautiful!! SO beautiful! congrats on the Bronze it was well deserved. I would love to have a place like this, it sounds like something wonderful. Awesome write,
Blessings,
~Michaela~

lovely poem about the beauty of peace..being with one's

and critters offer me peace.
