So often we give ourselves to a man,
and in doing so we lose our own plans.
Making his life the best it can be ,
Only unknowingly I forgot about me.
Today I find myself alone once more,
in my mind all I hear is the slamming of the door .
I feel my heartbeat and yes I'm alive ,
so why are their tears falling from my eyes.
While sitting at the window one day,
hiding away from the world.
I saw a reflection in the window,
of a vibrant and beautiful girl .
Confident and sure of the life she so lead,
and I brush my face with my hands and then held it in my hands.
In the realization I knew what I must do,
for it is his loss the day he left you .
Now my heart has steadied,
and my vision is clear.
I'm still the same lovely woman,
but now its just me its just he isn't near.
I realized this is my time and there is no one to ask ,
so I might as well enjoy myself at last.
I will pamper myself and do as I please ,
and I found out this ain't to bad indeed.
It wasn't long before I was dating again,
I wore what I wanted to wear and it was fine with my new man .
While out at a dance one night I saw my ex was there ,
and he had a look and oh yes he was so aware .
Often when the man leaves one for another,
they find when the thrill is gone .
And they see the woman they left ,
looking fine and strutting along .
Its a slap in the face returned from time,
for you see it wasn't us that did the walking or the lieing.

Get yourself up from there and you get yourself back to the person that takes care of you and makes you happy and always be yourself and dont let any man take your life away when they become a fool. You are a woman and us women know what we want and we wont take less for anybody . Get out there and enjoy yourself and know crying wont make it better men who leaves us expects us to close ourselves in and be sad .Show him he is very wrong.
