High Horse

Missing image
Charm wasn't his strong suit
behind his pretentious facade,
arrogance blistered each word
uttered past egotistical lips.

Riding upon his high horse
vanity thundered like a stampede,
Pride reeked in essense of self
absorbed in his royal lordiness.

My eyes held contempt,
  snidely wishing
him bucked from his arrogant steed.

Very good take on the prompt, and very well spoken. I almost think it would be a better write without the pic, which could turn it into a pure metaphorical piece. I really like it.

Thank you so very much for your comment and for Silver. And you're probably right about adding the pic, as they can sometimes take away from the write..I'm honored you enjoyed my take on the prompt. Had a blast doing your contest!
