Crickets sing a night song
lightning bugs speckle the ground
the moon casts its shadow
I do a midnight dance
Peepers sing a melodious song
Stars create pictures of light in the sky
The moon is my spotlight
I do a midnight dance
Hush
The sun peeps over the mountains
Blanketing the world in light
The night songs have stopped
I no longer do a midnight dance

I rarely if ever DQ people when it comes to prompt contests. I mean, where ever a word or quote or whatever takes you business or mine. I'm just the reader. The spectator if you will.
