"All I see is darkness"
Thats what she always said
She claimed she wasn't blind
Says she can't see instead
Blindness wasn't a curse to her
Instead it was a blessing
She wasn't talking about the dark you see
But it was light she was adressing
She always finds the light in dark
That is what makes her sweet
She carries the blessing with her
And blindness she will defeat
She'll defeat it with love
not seeing or sight
She'll defeat it with laughter
Not swords or might
She always find the good in bad
And that's one thing that makes me sad
When she fings the lighter side of darkness
She still cannot see
Author notes
* or [star] ------ I didn't know which to add, but I read the rules
This poem isn't about anyone I know, but I have met someone who was mute and she was the nicest person I'll ever meet. She was one of the inspirations for this poem, the other was the title of course
Hope you like it

One thing that slightly annoyed me was the typo on the second to last line. I think you meant to put
When she finds the lighter side of darkness
not "fings"
It made the ending look a little sloppy.
But I still liked this piece and with a little more practice you could find yourself producing some amazing things. Keep on writing and I look forward to seeing what you will come up with. Thanks for participating!
