She looks in the mirror
applying that eyeshadow again
using the eyeliner, the mascara
the blush, the lisptick
she looks {beautiful}
she pretends to be *better* than she is
she hardly eats, no more than a few calories
its quite pitiful, you see...
she laughs at +stupid+ jokes
and paints a smile for you to see
she can be -H.A.P.P.Y-
but its all fake..
her world is crashing down
no one is there for her
she should have seen it coming
when she first picked up that vodka
she has candy-coated lips
and protruding ribs
but yet, she is "P_E_R_F_E_C_T"
at night the mascara runs
as she tries to get a guy
she stands on the street corner
in her fishnets and mini skirt
smoking that ciggarette
holding it between her lips
there is glitter on her eyes
and candy on her lips
her one-night-stands
leave the guys wanting, yearning for
her candy-coated kiss
and her protruding hips
but no matter how hard she tries to hide the past
she will never forget
so she downs those vodka shots again
and applies the make-up "perfectly"
after all, darling,
she is just a *Beautiful* T.r.a.g.e.d.y

wow this is really good. i have yet to read a poem about this topic that has so much reality in it. (there's a few about harlots though!) i love the last line!
