A Bleeding Emotion

For once, her heart has been broken
It beats only halfheartedly
Every day is a gainless struggle
And she drowns in all the broken promises
Left in a puddle on the floor
She listens to the whispers of the memories,
almost enabling her to hear him again
But with these memories, attatched, is a pain
It bleeds, and it bleeds, and it bleeds

She tries desperately to convey a feeling
that is utterly unexplainable
And she wants to gain understanding of how a love so perfect
Falls, so surely, to the earth
and with it, buries the happiness that lives within it
And how she can mean the world to one,
then become openly meaningless
As if she might never have existed
She is beautiful, and damaged at very best

Questions that will never be answered,
or, perhaps, have no answer at all
haunt her, invade her mind and her dreams
She waits faithfully for grasp over something
that will never be hers again.
And knowing this, still, a glimpse of hope will pass in her eyes
But all she needs is someone to listen, help her to cope
To help her to heal
She wants the answers, she yearns for them,
And, simply, to feel whole once more

    i actually like this quite a lot.
    definitely emotional, and well-written.
    and with it, barries the happiness that lives within it --> and with it, BURIES the happiness that lives within it
