My Sudanese Beauty

Missing image

you are the beauty of Africa
the beauty of Sudan
I sure do know that
I know no one understand

they only call you nyian sheluk
they only call you nyian Jur
they only call you, nyian jieng
but I call you, the beauty of Sudan

your shining dark brown eyes
those I long for, to light up my nights
your beautiful skin, so silky so shiny
that I lust for, to kiss and touch me
you are my African queen

my Sudanese beauty
you are my solace
my soul pride
and my soothing
you are the breath
that I breath in
you are my queen
my beauty my soothing
the only Sudanese beauty

    well, well

you got me working, lol well
    the phrases means

they only call you nyian sheluk (is a trive in Upernile in Sudan)
they only call you nyian Jur (also tribe in south Sudan)
they only call you, nyian jieng (is the generalization of all tribes)

so what the phrases means, is that they only call her the girl of that tribe, the girl of this tribe, and so forth, but they never get to see beyond God's creation and see how beautiful she is, and thats what I am showing in this poem, I am allowing people to see the beauty and not the skin color, or her nationality

hope that helps a little bit, and thank you

This is so sweet and she is lovely. I wish I knew what the phrases meant that you refer to. Thanks for entering and good luck

This is really hard to read with the font colour and background. Maybe you could post the background as an extra picture, if that'd suit you.

This was beautiful, so descriptive. She's beautiful as well

The only thing I had a problem with was reading the white against the picture.

She is beautiful! What a loving dedication to her,
I can almost see you getting weak in the knees over this beauty.
I see a light on her face and a smile that could melt the toughest heart!
I loved this dedication and declaration of love!

    Hugs

      Lisa, haha

Thank you very much, I know but I must inform you that this is not my girfriend actually, she was one of the Sudanese Models who won a contest that was held in Kansas City in 2007, She is from the same place I am from and I dedicated this Poem to her.

But thank you though, it was nice I will be going through your page now, since I have free time to look around, I have been busy with this contest and reading poems over and over just to compare which one fits my definition of appreciation you know, but yeah thanks
