no one cares about me

IM 22 TOMORROW
AND NO ONE CARES
EVEN FAMILY AND FRIENDS
ARNT TALKING TO ME
THEY THINK ILL STOP
AS IF,I WISH
IT JUST MAKES ME WORSE
I CUT MORE AND MORE
I SHOULD TELL THEM
BUT WHY SHOULD I
THEY'LL ONLY PITY ME
OR THINK ITS FOR

ATTENTION
FrownFrownFrownFrownFrownFrown
22 AT MIDNIGHT
YIPHEE CANT WAIT
EVEN MY HUSBAND
ISNT TALKING TO ME
HE SAYS IF I CUT
ONCE MORE
HES LEAVING
I'VE SAID GO FOR IT
I DONT NEED YOU
AS LONG AS I HAVE
THE BLADE

FrownFrownFrownFrownFrownFrown

THE BLADE WILL HELP

HELP ME LEAVE

AND GO WHERE I WONT

GET PITY WHERE I

WONT REACH MY 22ND

AS I DONT DESERVE IT

I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW

FOR IT BESIDES

SCARS MORE SCARS

FrownFrownFrownFrownFrownFrown

LETS HOPE I DONT REACH

MIDNIGHT

First of all, the all-capitalized words look rather silly. It looks like someone who doesn't know how to write in proper english penned this poem inside of a chat room. I think you can do better than that. Also, you should get rid of the smiley faces, they are very distracting. I hope things get better for you though, you shouldn't be all alone in life and I'm sure that if you look around you and try connecting with people in your community, you'll find friends out there just waiting to be made. Good luck with future writing projects and with your own life in general

I feel for you really... however, its pretty obvious everyone you say doesn't care about you truly DOES or they wouldn't be telling you these things. Obviously it hurts them too much to see you do this, especially your husband. I've gone through hard times too (try reading my poem "Masterpiece of the Blade" it might help you feel not so alone). Just keep writing or doing other things and the feelings will eventually pass.

    Happy Birthday by the way.

addictions are hard to break, but human connections are more important. do not choose cutting over your husband. at some point angst is a cycle and a choice. break that cycle and break that choice, because, otherwise, *what are you left with??*

Oh my ... I'm not sure if this is a write based on reality, or not - but having seen on your author page that you're 21, I'm thinking perhaps it is ... and for that, I'm eternally sorry.

Sorry, why? Because, it sounds as though you do have much going for you, and if your addiction to the blade, and the blood, has brought you so low that you're now thinking the opposite, then you need a big hug from someone who cares.

You're married; surely that was a somewhat happy occasion, and you have a husband; whom you perhaps love, - and, well, there's too much to go into depth here in response, i'm willing to transfer to messages if you wish =)

And, if this wasn't personal, apologies for reading into it wrongly

Wow...very compelling, I love the emotion and despair that you convey. I'm sorry you have this feeling, I'm about to hit my 19th birthday in a very similar situation..Anyways, great write.

This is a powerful write, the narrator is open about the reasons she feels the need to cut, and shows how even the love and attention of those closest to her can make no difference to this very private place. The reader is given a glimpse of the real world of pain that exists there, just under the skin, and demands release. We can feel sympathy for this, without pity. Compassion is evoked, and a hope for strength to go on.

Ok i can relate to this poem in a sad sad way. I have been here time and time again, but right now i try so hard to pull myself out of it and i am doing good. Its hard when people point out my scars i dont have too many, but i have enough and i think people should just keep there mouth shut. I cant stand that, i hope if this is something you are going through now just know your not alone. I hate when my bday rolls around and i hate how people sometimes treat you like crap....i know you dont know me, but if you need a friend i am here.

And while you were having your 22nd ...

I was busy doing Gained Loss! How ironic!

I hope you see this as your birthday present, Margaret ... Happy Birthday, Love. I am sorry I am so terribly late ... Here is a candle kiss for you:

    kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss!

Your poem in our book is just so sincere and textured. I think you will touch the hearts of MANY. Some you do not even know, all over this world.

Please take care of you. You CAN be safe -- by your own hand protected, do you know? It can be so victorious ... Please know you are loved, no matter HOW you feel inside.

    Myra

You don't know me, but I hope you reach 22! Sometimes it's the strangers who care the most. I live a life of pain and know the feeling of wanting it to all end. But I have found that I can find reasons to keep going... it just takes a bit of effort at times. The reasons are there... leave now and you might miss something Fantastic!!!!!
