Befriended with soma?
Interesting take on the prompt. I didn't even know what soma was. Had to look it up. It's a personification of a sacred intoxicating drink used in Vedic ritual, or a leafless East Indian vine of which its sour milky juice formerly was used to make an intoxicating drink.
It seems to me that you feel miserable and need your friend 'soma' to be a little happy. Still you're asking yourself if anybody can help you. A sad and intriging poem, but in that sense well done.

I had a friend who was addicted to Soma or carisoprodol. She never quite got away from it. Of course, it is hard to tell from your poem whether you are speaking of pharmeceuticals or ancient hindu plants and ceremony. Either would fit in context with the poem.
It is a thought provoking write none the less.

im so glad you brought that question into play
in truth i used the word because in the past few years i have been trying to create an herbal duplicate to the soma referenced in "Brave new world" by -Aldous Huxley all failed attempts
but i have done great research on the Hindu plants
not just for this but also in my "theolexperiments"
i have studied many different religions and finally came to the conclusion that humans are better off with soma (my version( well my failures( if i can fix them(though im far to lazy)))) than with religion, at least this way the only way one could get raped by a religious figure is through masturbation and that makes everyone happy
