Mary Sweet Jesus Mary!

Heartbreak's on the horizon

Storm clouds are rolling in

Livin on the outside

Deep inside the city of sin

Mary! sweet Jesus Mary!

Baby girl my how you've grown!

But you sure been acting funny

Since you left our home sweet home

Did you find your milk and honey

On that tarnished road you thought was gold?

Daddy wouldn't recognize you

In those fancy clothes you wear

Of all us kids' he says you look most like mama

Even got her golden hair

Heartbreak's on the horizon

Storm clouds are rolling in

Living on the outside

Deep inside the city of sin

Mary! sweet Jesus Mary!

How did you get so lost!

Stoned, sad faced and crying

Has it all been worth the cost?

What's come over you little sister

Once rosy cheeked and smiling

Eyes clearest cornflower blue ...

What is it I'm to tell them

That you do?

Daddy would disown you

If he knew of the life you've led

He'd hide the truth from mama

Rather tell her you was dead

Heartbreak's on the horizon

Storm clouds are rolling in

Baby sister's lives in purgatory

Deep inside the city of sin

Tracy Chapman... I LOVE Tracy. Bring back memories. Though I don't listen much to music nowadays. Better yet what they call music. Rather listen to freestyle and jazz... But from "Fast Car" to "Gimme a Reason"... Well done, sweets. She is a muscian. Write on and good luck. One.
