Clouds of Sorrow cover me
Constant pain won’t let me be
I lay awake – just trying
But sleep won’t come – I’m crying
From head to toe
And everything between
Pain covers all
A vicious beast, unseen
Torment fills my day
And most my night
And I exhausted lay
To tired to fight
The ever hungry beast
Just out of sight
I toss and turn
No comfort can I find
And pain fills not just body
But also fills my mind
Though pills and draughts
The torment may abate
The beast still in my body
Lies in wait
It knows the pills wear off,
They do – of course
So patiently it waits
And then attacks, full force
I’m told I cannot win
No matter how I try
This vicious beast will haunt me
Until the day I die
Author notes
Fibromyalgia is a chronic, painful disease. In many the pain is constant, needing strong pain meds to make it through the day. There is no cure.

So Sad!
I am very sorry for your pain. I too suffer from this beastly illness. There is hope! People with fibromyalgia respond well to alternative/holistic and homeophathic forms of therapy and lots of nurturing.
With me, I found out that a lot of my pain is related to additives that are put in foods as preservatives; primarily sulphites, food allergies and toxicity from medications. As a result, I try to eat organic foods that are not overly processed.
Stress is a big factor too. The list is endless. I have methodically figured it out through the process of elimination.
I have it pretty controled right now, but one little mistake - and the pain gets triggered!
I hope that you are feeling better. I know how frustrating it is. So little is known or understood about this illness; and there isn't a lot of support available from doctors. I have pretty much given up on conventional doctors and took responsibility for my own cure. I know that it is different for everyone.
Fibromyalgia can be traced to many triggers. It is secondary to many illnesses , infections and other problems, as well. It can be related to nutritional deficencies and metabolic problems.
If you ever want to talk about it, I would be glad to...Just message me.
