A Daughter is a beauty at its finest

Since birth, you have changed me
You have brought smiles to my face
You have taken my heart out of space
So I say to you for time may change
A daughter is beauty at its finest
You have a heart of an angel
Soul so pure, and sweet
You are the most precious gift
God has bestowed upon me
Your smile, your face so tender
Your name reside at the
Highest point in my heart
Your smile quenches the thirst of my heart
You are a dewdrop that washed away my sins
You gave me a different world
So I kneel before you today to bless your soul
For you are the one that I adore
My daughter in my heart your soul lives
Forever and ever, you are the daughter of my soul

    "Your name reside at the
Highest point in my heart"--This is a lovely sentiment. So true, only a child can do this.

"You are a dewdrop that washed away my sins
You gave me a different world"--Children really can change the world, if for no other reason than for what we will do to make it a perfect place for them. Children love and accept without bias. Great poem.

"Since birth, you have changed me"
"You are the most precious gift"
"You gave me a different world"
These three lines really hit home for me. I've heard my Mom repeat them to me over and over again for as far back as I can remember.
I'm my Mother's only child, and since I was old enough to understand, she told me that I was the most important thing in her life, and that I always would be. She swears that I changed her whole point of view of the world and life itself, and that I had saved her life. That I was the one who finally got her out of the abusive relationship with my Father.
I'm too young to know the type of love for a child of my own, but I can feel it with every hug and kiss from my mom.
This is really a great poem. And it was even better that you daughter inspired it.

    Lovely little poem!

Love the blessing part! Though not a mother, I enjoy watching my sister gaze lovingly on her two sons in love... Ah! To each their own... I wish you well; peace and prosperity to you both!

Thank you very much. My son is getting so big. He's already almost 4 months old and weighs 15.12 pounds. He is the best little baby I have ever seen, aside from my little niece... she's almost a year old! lol.

        • don't you wish?

don't you wish they just stay as little as they are when they were born? it is so hard to see them grow old and not be able to sit there and watch them sleep, lol well I am sure you will find fun times through his growth and may God be by his side God bless
