Crossover

Reach out for the loving hand of my heart
Crossover the river that runs through us
Reality and the place where we start
Offer our exterior selves to fuss
Sage to our inner self is internal
So that you can be free of the certain
One that opens the gate of infernal
Veils that are in the luminous curtain
Ever waving diaphanous and free
Real as the spoken words that dissect love
And transcends the vast river of the sea
Sending the pulsating visions above
So reach out and pull the strings of my heart
Let’s cross the river where we shall not part

    bravo

I loved the poem and I stand utterly amazed and astounded at the acrostic! Certainly, Amera, you are one of the few people who might have cracked the old "enigma" code of the Germans in 1940! wonderful and most amazing! Bravo...Bravo....Bravo...

crossover, crossover, send Amera right over
for a roll in the beauty of Italian clover

Siting at a table in Tuscany wearing a bonnet
she proceeds to create an intriguing sonnet

might she sit there all the entire summer day
writing and writing, eating curds and whey

perhaps she will, or she won't, but after she ate
that there poetry is bound to be yummy and great

A work of art! Truly! and this is what I aspire to be, a writer that can create this kind of poem that is so memorable, a blending of forms, I am astounded and awed and challenged to write beyond my paltry verse.

I do not feel qualified to comment on this. It is far beyond my grade-level. Like a kindergartener viewing a book on the Theory of Relativity and knowing it is something important and magical, but unable to comprehend it. This is a wonderful read and a massive effort. Once again you have awed me with your talent and your heart.

Fiendishly clever construction and both poems are in your authentic voice. You are safe here, there is no way I'm trying to copy this
