Different Days

There are days that just don't miss a beat

where horizons never end

and wings appear upon your feet

where nothing is pretend.

Each day is a new page in life

full of faith and hope,

to conquer every ounce of strife

having what it takes to cope.

Then strikes the day without a reason

where no light is coming through,

encompassed by this wintry season

and darkness is the view.

To know that so much can be done

yet unable to get a start,

a heavy load blocks out the sun

and life just has no chart.

Just like a tumble dryer

many days whirl round and round,

yet deep within is the desire

to find sweet rainbows all around.

A good day just has no end…..
A bad day’s when I lie in bed and think of things that might have been.

I thought you really captured the two different types of days from the prompt marvellously. I especially loved your first stanza and the first line, I thought that was a wonderful way of looking at those good days which we treasure. I also thought your description of those less happy days was brilliant. The lines "a heavy load blocks out the sun and life just has no chart." really captured those days of darkness and no direction. Great Work x
