Count the piggies off to market
Watch them on their way
Walking, rocking through the sunset
To the land of day:
Each becomes a scrap of starlight
Dancing in the sky
And the sleepy sheep of cloudscape
Nod as they go by:
Close those rosy little eyelids
Roll those curtains down
Dream of smiles, those endless miles
To misty Slumbertown.

This is adorable - not quite in the berceuse category I would put your winning poem in but a very cute nursery rhyme, sure to give enjoyment to reader and young readee.
