He hides in dark places
I've seen him in a father's eyes;
ice blue...cold
Sensed his evil hiding
behind closed doors nailed shut
Sensed him watching
Slithering through trees
hoping you'll walk by so he
can nab you
Grab you / hold you
keep you from ever
finding The Light.
Please tell me what you think

Yes, well, the devil can slither, nab, grab you...but the dirty scheming shit sock cannot keep you from The Light...unless you allow it.
I've seen him in a Father's eyes too, thankfully not a permanent resident. But I have seen.
Excellent.

Old Nick!
Yes, he's everywhere, we put him there... he goes by many names doesn't he...well, i did enjoy this poem very much one thing tho, I always thought you gotta have darkness to be able to appreciate light; balance is what it's all about...

Believe me, I've been chased by those same demons of the past more than once myself. I hope you're doing well my friend.
Sincerely,

Forgiveness is often a hard thing to do, but often long after thee offender has left, by the replaying of the event in our mind, their actions are kept alive, so
then it is no longer them who are hurting us, but rather our own hatred of them that continues the curse.
Others can imprison us, but after escaping the event that put us there, it is only us, who can keep those
bars up around us. Final freedom only comes through the ultimate release and that can only come through forgiving those who have wronged us, so we are no longer chained by those past events.
To wish bad upon another
withholds the light from you
To harbor in the darkness
covers all that is true
To lurk among the shadows
keeps the rays from touching skin
To fill a heart with anger
makes sure you'll never win
To touch upon the dark side
is a thing we all will do
For dual we are by nature
but the choice is left to you
So make the trip a brief one
so you see there's no real gain
Then even in a letdown
you won't think from Devil's brain...
Hope your week is going better then mine...
Hugs...Eddy
