All for the Sake of My Toy!

Missing image
A howl distracted all of those in the room!
    And it persisted without stopping!
You would think someone was being murdered!
    A young childs' voice persistently
      screamed,"My arm, my arm!"

Little did the hockey players whose banquet
we attended know that his arm
was not hurt, but his toy
        car was stuck between
        the stage and the wall.

Well when we found out what was the problem
Those dear hockey players moved the piano
off the stage, and then moved the stage
          out from the wall.

All attention was on our little boy
Who attracted all eyes to him.
Needless to say we were so humiliated
That we thanked them all for their help.
Laughing, and worn out after the ruckus
We thought it was time for our little
lad to go home to bed!

Never had we seen such trouble over a toy car
And never had we seen such wonderful
boys go out of their way to make
        a little boy happy.

But never had we seen a scene like this before
    Boy, how our little fellow
      could get attention!
      We were embarassed!

Haha, nice story. (I imagine it's funnier for me reading it than it was for you.) Best of luck in the contest.

oh god, the things we are made to go through! On the other hand, it seems most people are just happy to help in such a situation and have probabyl been there, too.
