What If?

What if the seas would turn to ice
And give the ocean a sad demise,
What if the sun shuns to glow this bright,
And globe be doomed to perpetual night,
What if the flowers decline to bloom,
Spring seized by eternal winter's gloom.

Numerous doubts list on my chart,
As many worries wrenching the heart,
But the one that always troubles my soul,
Wherever I roam, as days "n nights roll …
You"ll hold my hand, or will it be otherwise
If the seas would turn to ice.

Great imagery in this, and the rhyme was not at all forced. Excellent poem. It's not that long but really packs a punch emotionally too. You express pain in such a poetic way. Really great write. Thank you for entering and letting me read this.
