The Dance of the Cereal

Crackily, snappily pops in my bowl
The noisiest breakfast makes me complete
A cereal’s dance that loses control
Crackily, snappily pops in my bowl
Just sprinkle some sugar and make it sweet
Crackily, snappily pops in my bowl
The noisiest breakfast makes me complete

The dance of the cereal wakes me up
With a gyrating mumbo in my mouth
I laugh so hard that I drool in my cup
The dance of the cereal wakes me up
They jiggle to the East and to the South
The dance of the cereal wakes me up
With a gyrating mumbo in my mouth

Crackily, snappily pops in my bowl
The dance of the cereal wakes me up
It makes me a winner and reach my goal
Crackily, snappily pops in my bowl
I'm feeling frisky just like a cute pup
Crackily, snappily pops in my bowl
The dance of the cereal wakes me up

This is cute Amera . Thank you for writing about the cereal in an original way! I like the form; and I felt this poem was giving off onomatopoeia, and I could hear their snaps..etc lol ; despite the fact that I'm eating them

thank you for entering this sweet and morning-friendly poem!

What a way to start your day!

"I say it's Crackle, the crispy sound/ You gotta have Crackle or the clock's not wound/ Geese cackle, feathers tickle, belts buckle, beets pickle, but Crackle makes the world go round."

How's that for a gaggle of slant rhymes? Ha ha ha. This is so cute. Have some bunnies.

Charmed, most surely. I am doing three curtsies in honor of this poem because cereal is one of the most important food groups and I LOVE CEREAL! But, better than that, I love your poem! Your Triolet has pleased me greatly. May I please post it on Poetry Planet, which is the poetry blog I run for The Reporter newspaper?
