Where Souls Trespass

Imagine if you will a black limitless space,
a dark vastness where dreams and reality embrace.
Now in this endless ebony superimpose light,
well defined rectangles cut clearly into night.

Painted on these murals color comes into view
and subtle shades shimmer sharing a violet hue.
Hope times two lends magic to this puzzling array,
mesmerizing they seem to push the dark away.

Two dimensions side by side reflecting paradise,
offering escape form this void not once but twice.
Contemplate upon choosing either left or right,
seemingly similar beacons of warmth and light.

Look deep within and focus on the differences there,
one offers hope while the other whispers beware.
Both portals are projecting a scene teaming with life,
both are calm and serene reflecting themes without strife.

Peer to your left and a cabin forms its center
with a cosy feeling begging you to enter.
Glance to your right and only nature’s beauty thrives,
a tranquil setting showing all but human lives.

Drifting worlds of fantasy surrounded by black,
causes one to ponder and start slowly pulling back.
Choose wisely Alice before stepping through that glass,
do you wish to exist or go where souls trespass?

First, thank you sooo much for complying with my rules and putting what I requested in the AN. =]

I love your take on the option. You expressed some true creativity and wove me a lovely scene with your words. "Dark" and "Light" are some of the most easily imaginable adjectives, and you used them quite to your advantage here. Your rhyming is wonderful, doesn't seem forced at all.

Thank you for your wonderful entry, and good luck.
