entwined

The silhouette of limber branches sway
yet standing still, the night air breathes no more,
for under shelter’s safety I must stay
inhaling dreams I’ve never dreamt before.
When visions of the one I long to hold
are focused on the joy that truth is near,
then pointed past, which left me in the cold
now warms tomorrows, knowing he’s sincere.
His hand extends from billowed clouds in flight
enticing me to step out from the shade,
while echo sings to show my love’s true light.
Entranced, I twirl to dewdrop’s serenade.
With wondrous movement ever shall I dance,
held in the arms of one who took the chance.

From underneath the canopy of leaves,
(where hidden I remained until he came)
the colored threads of trust he slowly weaves
now pull me closer, as he calls my name.
The gentle breezes smile upon his face,
as water sprinkles down to bring new life.
Through teary eyes, in him I find the place
where love remains and peace replaces strife.
As dawn awakens, sunlight filters through
caressing buds, allowing love to grow,
while silently, the painted skies he drew
become hope’s cover, perfect in the glow.
Beneath blue heaven’s roof of grand design,
the willow weeps delight, as hearts entwine.

Absolutely Beautiful and romantic, flowed beautifully, I feel like I fell in love as I read it. So many brilliant lines it's really difficult to pick out the ones I loved the best... line four is definitely a favourite, as is 25-26 and of course the final line. Good luck xx
  • This was a beautiful poem. I could never make something rhyme like you did and make it sound as good as you did. You had my admiration! Great job!

  • oh my....... thats gorgeous...........

that whole thing where i said you are amazing? yeah, i take that back. amazing doesnt even begin to describe you

    =D GREAT GREAT GREAT poem

  • Way of words...

Was just listening to the song Entwined by Lacuna Coil, so when I saw it as the title of your next piece....well it just seemed serendipitous. So on to the words... Well of course they are beautiful and tell of the longing in your heart for another. Replace all the "he's" with "she's" and I would have loved to had been the author. I wish to use the word clean when describing this poem and pretty much all of your others as well. Not in a sterile way, but sort of the feeling you get after cleaning something and smelling the freshness....if you sort of get it. Anyways, just to have read it has made my day a little better....

    • how could i ask for anything more from someone who comes to read my poems... THANK YOU for a beautiful comment and compliment.
