Between The Tears

Missing image
A spring time blessing  a bundle of joy,
happy tears flow for the birth of a boy.
Blue eyes of happiness look up at me,
count his fingers and toes tenderly.

Watch him grow through the tender years,
Training wheels, scrapes, dry his tears.
Football and homework, many memories,
see joy looking back as far as I can see.

Became a young man with mind of his own,
mother and child, seeds of love were sown.
Invincible as your whole life lay ahead,
don't worry about me mom, you always said.

But a mother worries and cries many tears
from seeds of love sown those tender years.
A mother's worse nightmare becomes real,
you lose your son, your heart can not heal.

Tears of joy at birth, now tears of grief,
holding on to my faith I search for relief.
Between my tears a life filled with love,
found solace, healing from God above.

Author notes

Written in memory of my son Brian who passed away last years. There is a hole in my heart that will never be filled but I know he is safe and happy with our Heavenly Father. I love and miss you my sweet son. Mom

When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up, he flames willnot consume you. Isaiah :43-2

That is a heartwarming write. It is so hard to lose anyone so close. Loved ones who drift away, or are lost to us through their passing on. It's nice to know that he is making a place for us all and his house does have many mansions.
