Water pours upon the earth
refreshing spirits that are weary,
cleansing souls that are broken,
cooling skin burnt
by the trials of life.
Moonlight scatters its glow
over darkness that’s been hidden,
lighting the pathways
for those too blind to see.
All things work together in nature,
helping hands,
permit life to exist.

I don't think you need the 'that's' here...seems unnecessary. Like the contrast with 'cooling' and 'burnt'...and yes, life gives us some trials, leaving us to be the (questionable) judge of our own chosen fate...very deep.
"permit life to exist."
